The Ontario Renovates program offers forgivable loans of up to $20,000 to low-income homeowners who own and occupy substandard housing to help repair their dwellings to a minimum level of health and safety.
You must own and occupy the home, your household income and assessed value must be below a set amount, and your total household assets must be at or below $10,000. Renovations under this grant include plumbing, toilets, water heaters, and leaks around the home.
