This clip is used to attach the float assembly in the brine tank as well as the control valve for your water softener to the bypass.

The clip DOES NOT suit the bigger 1" controls; it only accommodates softeners of the usual size.

Release all water pressure from the system to prevent clips from breaking, then squeeze the connection until the clip feels loose before removing it.
